From the ECU, you can rewrite the map of the driving parameters, thus increasing the engine’s power and efficiency.

In addition to the engine operating parameters (after 1995) in ECU, there is also data about the car immobilization so that it is not possible to directly use a computer from a car to another, being necessary for immobilization to match the computer with the new car. So even if the ECU has the same series as the car, it’s possible not to function directly and it must be matched with the car from a professional tester or by completely copying the software from the car’s original ECU to the bought one.
